« on: July 19, 2010, 06:17:36 AM »
Reading the results from search on the subject i must say that now i'm dizy  ;D so many answers but not really on what i'm looking for or if there is an answer there i didn't see it so here it is.

I have 2 specific folders that i use all the time, i woulk like to have shortcuts of them on the desktop so that i don't have to open the allshebang all the time to get to them, is there a way to do it?

Right - one easy way is to minimise Dolphin so its only about half a screen.

Now select the folder you want access to and drag it to the desktop and choose Link Here.

Thats it

Edit - if you have any widgets on your desktop the new Icon may drop itself behind one of them therefore you'll have to position it by hand

In a KDE 4 default desktop setting then right click on the desktop, New , Basic link to file or directory.
