OK here  is what I have discovered.

I thought it was a combination of keys that made the computer reboot. It is not the case.

As joble mentioned, it is only the number 2. At first I thought is was #2 with something else but just the #2.

Once it reboots to the log on screen and you log on , it doesn’t happen for awhile. You can try it right away and it won’t reboot after the first time you do it. Then after awhile it just happens again. The time between has not been determined.
It is the #2 that is the culprit. So that being said, what can be done about it?

Thank You.

Small update. As joble had said, he hit the #2 right after first boot up. It would boot back to the logon screen then he was fine after that. I have done that as well now and that seems to work. If I wait to do it and it happens sometime later , it will do it again even after the reboot.
Strange problem.

Wonder if any light has been shed on the reboot problem.

When the number 2 is pressed.

I took Joble's advice and I just hit the 2 when I boot then it goes away. Not a big issue but I would be interested to know why this occurs.

It does happen to me on one other situation. If I watch any type of videos or short clips for a long duration it sometimes just reboots to log on screen.

Thanks for any help ;D

I'm at my mom and dad's place right now for Thanksgiving running PCLinuxOS Phoenix Edition from a live USB, and I've been getting this little bit of weirdness, too.  It's already happened twice since we've been here, as I've been watching the weather online (severe storms here in the Ozarks last night -- thunderstorms, tornadoes, etc. -- and they're calling for wintry precipitation here for Thanksgiving, fun fun!) and had a couple such interruptions myself like Joechimp mentioned, and both times have been in the middle of typing something fairly rapidly.  But it does it just once and it's fine after that.  Weird...

Not knowing where to post my minor weird issue I'll put it here.

At the login page (KDE) when I type "f" in the first or second place of the username this "f" begins to repeat itself like "ffffff" till I strike a new key.
This happens only at the first login after booting PCLOS.

This interesting behaviour started a few months ago.
