I've been using k3b for a long time. I can burn DVDs just fine. When I burn a CD, k3b burns it just fine. It even verifies it successfully. However, when I eject and reinsert it right away, the computer can't read it. The light blinks continuously but never gets mounted. Can't mount it manually either.
Here's the strange part. I tried these CDs in 4 different computers using 4 different drive brands. 3 computer are running PCLinuxOS. I couldn't read it on PCL 2010, fully updated. I couldn't read it on PCL 2007, updated along the way, but I could read it on a computer running PCL 2009. I also was not able to read it on a Fedora 12 server. I tried it in 3 different windows computers and it reads just fine.
I'm pulling my hair out over this and my CD stack is dwindling. Yes, I've tried numerous settings in k3b and haven't had any success with 6 CDs so far. All computers read CDs that I've created a year ago. All CDs are data CDs, including the one I'm trying to burn now. Again, all disks have data on them that can be read using windows, but not the computer it was created on or other Linuxes. No trouble on DVDs.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
