suspend to disk hangs

Hi,
When my machine tries to suspend to disk, it hangs. Then I had to do hard restart.
Is there any log that I can take a look at what is going?

Take a look in Konsole by typing:

pm-hibernatefor suspend to disk.

For suspend to RAM:

Since I had problem with suspend to disk, I tried pm-hibernate as non-su and as su.
Both went to command mode, mentioned some failure and came out of hibernation.
It was so fast I could get only the following part.
It said something like "assertion fd>=0 failed".
