grub themes appear to be named gfxboot themes, and only seem to have one per version of the distro. Is this correct?

??? If you need a release's grub theme and don't want to install it to get the theme, I'm sure the theme could be packaged and sent to the repos.

I don't need any themes, I was just exploring the potential of this script. It could ease the customization for the remasters as well as for experimenters and artists that would like to contribute.

Just a little, late night brainstorming. (Very early morning for you!)

For those wanting to test on a 'theme,' I've uploaded a theme I've been working on.

It is called BlueScalesLXDE. This is an lxde theme and includes a gdm theme, a gfxboot theme, a plymouth theme, lxde wallpaper, lxpanel background image and a lxde logout image. I will make a kdm theme and etc, so that a test can be run on a kde install, but that may take a few days. I've never made a kdm theme before. :P

Forgot to say: I'm not finished tweaking the theme yet, but it is usable.

Great work by the way :)
I could translate to Bulgarian, these are simple texts.

slax (or anybody),
if I simply replace the Serbian text there in your attachment would it work?

add your language file in the attachment, and i rebuild the package (add it) ;)
You need the pot file (attached), remove .txt.
How to translate see here

Is the correct procedure for unpacking your bundled themes, to untar in / as root? Is there anything else required?

It great to see some neighbors here :)
Just install poedit from synaptic and you can easily translate the po file.
Leiche offer to add it. ;)

Unfortunately there isn't much effort in translating pclos :( I would like to see it more

No. To unpack as user is fine. Then as root move the folders/files to their places in /usr/share.
