LXDE 2010.1 Quarterly update

i installed task-lxde 2010,with lxde 2010.1 (580 m ), can i download all the new items mentioned,screenie.sylpheed, kernel 2.6.33 5, from the repo's, instead of the whole package.(2010.1)
i need input please,

Do a full update in Synaptic first. After that, add packages to your heart's content. Enjoy!

the kernel does not update it with synaptic

A new/different kernel needs to be selected and installed "manually" from Synaptic.

Note: remember, after installing a new kernel a reboot is required and that reboot may take a while getting to your desktop whilst its building itself into the "main system"
