You did not answer my question,, are you using KDE4? If so the first thing I must know is how messed up you're desktop is. Can you give me a screen shot of it?

you have to be more detailed in your question I think.

I assume you are with PCLinuxOS KDE4.
What did you do messing your DE in user and admin modes?
How does it look now?

There are many threads here similar to yours, try forum Search.
As far as I remember if you reinstall by Synaptic kde4-config (or something very similar) you'll be OK.

You can run Synaptic if there's no other way by
Alt+F2
there you type
synaptic (not Synaptic)
Give your root password. Synaptic loads and there you Search for "kde4-".
Find the config package, right-click and choose "Reinstall".
After it finishes it's job completely logout and login again.
Tell here if it is fixed please.

Edit: Just checked - yes, it is kde4-config.

Thank you Thank you! It is fixed and back to orginal now I can put my widget and other things back.

This should be posted somewhere where other beginners can see and use.  Don't know how to inform everyone that this problem is solved. will try

After you are satisfied with your panel-look you can "Lock widgets" in order to be more safe
