after today's update the battery monitor and device notifier have moved to the system tray...   now the problem with the battery monitor is that its taking up about an inch of space in the system tray ....the question is.. how to fix that ??

Is the battery monitor taking up so much space because it is showing unnecessary information that you don't want (for example: the percentage) or is it the size of the icon that is too big or white space surrounding it? Can you right click on the applet and modify what it displays?

not showing anything but the battery ..until you put the mouse on it, then it shows its level of charge..at that time it fills out the empty space around it..

right click shows nothing to be changed to stop this ..

edit: have removed the battery monitor from system tray and placed it back on the panel..
