Part of the problem may be that those with the ability to write the code are already busy writing code and can't get to it yet. Something like this would take a skilled coder, I think. It is, IMO, important that such apps be written by the more skilled coders.

For Linux searches, use  http://www.google.com/linux

You won't get windows sites usually with it.

Ah!  Thank you for that tip, Neal - it may be very useful indeed, to both myself and others.

IrfanView can read Dicom images via the extra plugins packages. I have added those already to the next FullMonty2010.08 scheduled for mid August.  ;)

Thank you, pinoc.  Do you know if it reads them as individual slice images, as ImageMagick does, or would it be capable of going a bit further, I wonder?

Ah.  Well, then; it either does, or it doesn't... I suppose we must wait and see.  Thank you, djohnston.

unfortunately IrfanView does not render my sample dicom-data correctly, not even the M$-version  :(
Will investigate further and report back if I find something useful.

Hmmm... If they're also storing any of that data you're uploading, that would be a big privacy concern.

Yes, as far as I know -- the files are saved on the server, and you can share them with other, selected, parties. Like for collaboration. But yes, privacy concern.

update: maik3531 has packaged aeskulap, and first tests look good, so let's hope to see it in the repo soon.
A big thanks again to maik3531 for taking the time to get it working!  ;)
