Problem with GIMP 2.6.9
« on: June 24, 2010, 07:08:54 PM »
Seem there is a problem when you choose the gradient tool and scroll through the gradients, if you try to use the tab on the scroll bar for the gradients it doesn't let you and if you click on the down arrow, it blows out the whole program. Anyone else with this Problem?

Trying to recreate your problem.  Couldn't - gradient works as it should.  Switched between tabs, down arrow moves the selection down as it should and slide bar works fine as well.

Gimp 2.6.8

yes, I thought it was only mine.
it throws some error :
(script-fu:11855): LibGimpBase-WARNING **: script-fu: gimp_wire_read(): error
Segmentation fault

but works with mouse scroll though.

Gimp 2.6.8

No, everything was working  in 2.6.8, I upgraded to 2.6.9 when this problem arose.

I don't know how to duplicate what you are doing. I can tab and arrow up and down through the different gradients. If you feel this is a bug please report it to the gimp developers so they can provide a patch or if you find a patch that might fix it then link me up with it.

Thanks,
Tex

I'll make a report,  I wanted to know if it was just me or if there is a problem. I installed 2.6.8 and all is working again. So must be a bug.

Did a PCLinuxOS upgrade yesterday and I am now working with Gimp 2.6.9.

Still use the gradients in any conceivable way without any problems.  Possibly a plug-in you are using?

I use an extended amount of gradients, there nothing more than a collection of gradients.

So you have a separate collection of gradients outside of the package in the repository?

Yes, I got them from one of the GIMP Tutorial site a few years ago. Here is the link:

http://gimp-tutorials.net/130-UltimateWeb20-Gradients-for-Gimp

There just a collection of gradients, you have to unzip them and put them in your gradient folder.
