Then you have to try it "manually"
Go to PCC (blue circle in the task bar with the tools in it) => Devices => Printers....
: "Add new printer" and deselect "Automatically detect and configure...."
=> then go through all the options (maybe, if the printer isn't available in the list, you have to install a PPD-file), don't forget, if you've a USB-printer, the path to it has to be /dev/usb//lp0 (for the first printer, else lp1, lp2, ...)
Maybe, the English expressions I used aren't correct completely, but I think it's possible to find it...
