Hi I did see
http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php/topic,73036.0.html
and the post about how to qualify to ask a question but I'm a social guy so here goes :
my keyboard has reversed some shift functions (Not sure the official term!) For example, shift 2 produces " and shift ' produces @. My tilde has also become ¬ and my pound sign become an actual pound £ .
What did I do? (I know I did it!)
¬ Austin
¬ who usually uses a tilde to sign stuff

What nationality have you got your keyboard set to? It probably just needs switching

And note that even if you've picked the correct keyboard in PCC (Configure Your Computer) you may have overridden that global choice by specifying another one in Configure Your Desktop.

I need glasses. Repeatedly read "UK" as "US" (I was confused why there were two US entries.)
With brains like these, my linux future is bright
