SOLVED: Firefox running at startup

Every time I start my computer, when desktop finishes loading, down on bottom panel is the Firefox app.
I have to close it because it does not seem to find the net.
 I have looked at the start-up items to see if it is listed,but it's not.
how do I get it not to be running when comp is started?

Tell you system to start with a empty session. Open the KDE Control Center --> Advanced User Settings --> Session Manager  
The setting is under "On Login"

the Firefox app is not running at shutdown. also I have Phoenix xfce but not KDE. I looked in the xfce settings manager for sessions, but there is nothing for selecting new session. I believe at startup or shut down there is an option to select new session, so will check that out.

 Solved-
Got it problem resolved. went to shutdown and when splash screen showed session, selected xfce4. when I restarted the Firefox app was not on bottom panel.
