Clock setting suggestion
« on: June 22, 2010, 11:03:35 AM »
You used to have the clock settings programmable on launch of the Live CD. Please go back to that! As it is now every computer that gets PCLOS Live CD launched has the time automatically set to US Central time. When the OS is installed it sets the time to US Central time. That is fine for any one in US Central time but it is not for all of the rest of us. We have to go in and set the time to the correct time. That is an added and unnecessary step. Please correct this.

You are joking, aren't you? Limited space on the live CD precludes doing everything for you.

No I am not joking! I am quite serious! Letting the user set the time and NTP when booting to the Live CD was standard procedure on PCLOS and still is on most distro's Live CDs. The time has to be changed if you do not live in the US Central time zone.

I can't believe you would be so foolish to ask such a question.

No personal insults! Alter or remove that statement.
