Hi,
I am in a wonder as Neal is happy to be able to display the home user icons for directories into the Desktop, whereas I am not. This is not much of a problem, just a matter of taste isn't it ?
Well why do I talk about Lxde ? Because I am doing the Openbox fr version now, and I build the Openbox version starting from the Openbox version, and I test the Lxde new versions too.
But now it happens this:
Working on pclinuxos-openbox:
* I remaster, create md5sum file, test in Virtualbox, burn to CD, test in real machine, and install;
* I restart the installed version, the guest account is deleted at first boot, and I create the new user;
* I get to the GDM login, login as user, the desktop starts and there : BING !!!
==>> a window appears, and asks me if I want the directories to be move to "****". Well this is the Addlocale program that generates this effect, usually. It asks to change some of the "Movies", "Pictures" and so on to the same in your language.
But there, it does it from "/home/user to /home/user/.../..." I don't remember all details just now, I'll do a screenshot in Virtualbox next.
I also have a piece of log in the home user .xsessions_errors file.
Well, if I say "yes", it therefore creates all the directories INTO the Desktop : visible - and I DO NOT want them there... :/
If I say "no", it doesn't create them anywhere at all. As I tried to remove them from /etc/skel, they don't exist anymore ; I want them visible only when clicking on "My Documents" directory icon, which is the only one directory icon I want on the desktop.
==>> I say "no" and no directory is there at all, EXCEPT the "tmp" directory : I DO NOT want it there either.
I tried different things to fix it - EVEN UNINSTALL Addlocale before remastering!! - but didn't find one that works. Do someone know how I could fix that ?
Thanks.
