Have you "refreshed" the available networks?  Perhaps that particular connection is down (off the air) at the moment.

I did that Chief already. Thank you for your suggestion though. I appreciate all the help.

However, there is good news and bad news.

The Library Computer Tech came over to talk to me and I could tell right off that he wanted to make it my comps problem. After all I have done I had finally determined it definitely had to be the Library's problem.

Sure enough it was. A  bad router and some other messed up things and it is now on their head. It's not fixed but at least they are aware of it.

For awhile there I thought I had lost what little skills I have ::)

Anyway , Thanks to all. It's great that so many are willing to help. I will now mark this thread solved. :D
