There seems to be an issue, as JohnBoy alluded to, with Firefox that won't let you right click and "save image as", at least on my laptop with the latest PCLOS installed and updated so I don't think it has anything to do with running a live CD. I could do so until recently and I can do so if I go to the same image location using Konqueror.

ADD! There is a Firefox Ad On, "Save Images", that allows a right click and save as.

you do not have to use a firefox ad on to  right click and save ..I save images by right click
every day with firefox on default settings ....plus i can save images with live cd with right click

there is no issue unless you have changed something
The best way to save face is keep the bottom half shut.

Just to be clear about something .......  I have no problem using 'save as' from Firefox on this install.

I merely wanted the OP to test if he could perform the action with a different browser .......  which should show if it is a browser issue or an OS issue (the manner in which the OS is run).

regards.

About 1 to 2 years ago, the only Firefox option for transferring images was "Save Image As". It took Mozilla some time to give Linux users the same simple "Copy Image" option that Windows users already had. If you now select "Copy Image", rather than "Save Image As", the image is copied to your local clipboard. Running in RAM from liveCD, though, the save to clipboard could eat up RAM pretty quickly. Anyway, you should be able to save images to an external drive once it is mounted with write priveleges.
