Wireless problem
« on: June 15, 2010, 02:32:02 PM »
Hi all,

I have a bit of a problem, I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro M30 laptop, I have tried a few linux distro's, but all of them has a problem on the wireless side.
All see the wireless network, even the SSID, Chanel etc. But as soon as I want to connect it takes ages and then comes back with a error of bad password or cannot connect.

Is there any of you that has the same configuration?

Wireless Router: D-Link Dl-624
Securety: WPA2 personal(PSK)

Thanx

Hi Ryno,
I am not a network/wireless expert, but if your wireless network is detected, & you receive a password error, then maybe there is a problem with your network configuration.
Is your wireless configured? Correct WPA password etc?
If not---Open PC linux control center (need root permission) / network & internet / setup a new network. See if that helps. Post results.
btw, what pclinuxos are you using? LiveCD or HD install?
oh.... Welcome to the Forum!  :) :)
