<SOLVED ** and in quick time too!) Control Center - Configure boot steps

Good morning all

Control Center - Configure boot steps 'Set up boot system' comes up with THIS PROGRAM HAS EXITED ABNORMALLY.  

Need it to function properly as when I install a cloned image I find myself at the alternative splash screen rather than PCLOS2010 splash screen. Have reloaded boot files from Synaptic and updated all installed files.

You could use kgrubeditor if it's just the splash screen you are worried about. Install it through Synaptic. Then you will find it in..
Configure Your Desktop -> System -> GRUB Editor
