OK so most of the time the films I watch are all in English, but occasionally there are short segments in other languages in the film. In theory English subtitles should show at that point, but neither Smplayer or vlc show the subtitles. Even stranger though when I turn on english subtitles, the only dialogue that is subtitled is that which is in English! have played around with various other settings, but nothing seems to work.
Obviously this means that I don't understand parts of the dialogue. Does anyone else have this and if not what settings do you have?
