ACPI on Acer Travelmate 4500
« on: June 13, 2010, 05:56:03 AM »
I installed latest PClinux Lxde on Acer Travelmate 4500.

System is settled with acpi=off at boot but with this option I can't use battery monitor, which reads the values from acpi. If I switch on acpi laptop fail to boot.

How can mange to have battery monitor working properly?

Regards

Hi enrico3791

Try

Code: [Select]
acpi=ht
or

Code: [Select]
acpi=force
Acer Travelmate 2420 works perfect with standard options.

Hi tried both parameter for acpi, but I can't any difference.

I was expecting to see a battery meter on the bottom panel. M'I wrong?

Right... You wont see it unless You actually put it in there.

Right click on the panel > add widget > find and double click on battery meter.
