E17 repositories and Updates

Hello, not sure if this is the right area, but, when I reload the repository info, using my local mirror through Internode, I always get an error about the kde pkglist not being found, error 404,  although that error does not appear when using the KDE edition.  Is this because KDE is not compatible with E17? Also when I try to install the updates that are available it always wants to remove a number of e apps, even when trying to upgrade the enlightenment window manager.  Is it ok to upgrade and let it do its thing or will this leave me with a not quite right system?  Any help and advice is appreciated.

If the repo works in kde but not e-17 then it could be a bad sources.list file, or a network glitch.

I have kde installed along with task enlightenment.  They are quite happy together.

Depending on when you last updated there was a big update of the e-17 core desktop.  It has to remove the old one to add the new one so that big removal of apps should be ok and I wouldn't worry about it this time, except for the combination of the synaptic error.  Best troubleshoot thoroughly before commiting to the update.

I would change repos and reload see if that fixes it

Hi, sorry for the time taken to reply, thanks for the suggestions.  I took the sources.list file from the kde install and copied into e17 and it worked fine. So everything is sweet.  Thanks again.
