Hello everyone,
Prior to the install of 2010 I used KBackup. I put files I wanted saved onto a portable drive and then cleaned off my hard drive at install.
The individual files backed up have a file type of bz2.
I put a number of folders with these files into 1 tar using KBackup.
In Dolphin, when I right click on this tar, Archive comes up. When I choose 'Extract Here' it unzips the tar into folders, but, the individual files in the folders are type bz2.
Is there a way to unzip the tar so that the individual files are also unzipped at the same time?
What I have found in the forum is a reference to kdeutilities. I have that installed but am not able to find an alternative to Archive. I am all thumbs when it comes to the command line.
