I was wondering if anybody else is playing this game under PCLOS and what their performance is like.
I have a Core i7 @ 3.8ghz with an ATi Radeon 4670 and I have to significantly crank down the settings to get a solid framerate out. I'm using the proprietary ATi driver that shipping with PCLOS (Catalyst 10.4 I believe). From what I've been told the Linux version uses an OpenGL renderer and the developers haven't taken the time to optimize it. I'm sure having an ATi card doesn't help either. I've tried disabling my desktop effects but that didn't really yield any results. If anybody has some gaming under PCLOS (or any Linux distro) advice, I could probably use it. :-P
