I am trying to source a totally silent linux-capable PC (even netbooks have fans and trigger tinnitus), and have come across references to the Linutop brand, which have no fans and rely on solid state memory. As supplied, Linutop runs a version of Linux, but I would be very interested to hear if anyone out there has ever tried to run PCLinuxOS on one of these tiny, low power boxes. If so, with what degree of success?
