Hello all! After searching the forum, I still can't find anything specifically about Xinerama failing to allow hardware acceleration with KDE4.
I've got dual wide screen monitors, one in regular landscape mode, and the other in portrait mode. With KDE3 this worked fine. With KDE4, it also works except that it seems to me that hardware acceleration is disabled. Graphic performance is crap, and desktop effects are disabled. The difference seems to be enabling or disabling Xinerama. Keeping Xinerama disabled means my second monitor is black and not conjoined with my first monitor. Am I missing something in my xorg.conf? If anyone could shed some light on this, it would be greatly appreciated.
