Button font color help please.
« on: June 04, 2010, 04:04:05 PM »
In synaptic, and some other apps, I'm trying to change the button font color.
It's white on white, and it seems like I tried everything, and it just stays that way.

I changed themes, fonts, window themes, I can't think of anything else to change.

Do you have 'gtk-oxygen-molecule-xfce4' installed?

Ok, it's working with some themes, but with others, like default, default blue, red, and such, it reverts back to the white on white.

Try rebooting if that doesn't take care of it then...
Look for this file ".gtkrc-2.0"
Somewhere like this: /home/user/.gtkrc-2.0

Can u give some examples of which apps 'gtk-oxygen-molecule-xfce' took care of and which apps you are still having this problem with?
Depending on what apps are still white on white installing 'gtk-xfce-engine' may solve the problem.

And for future reference here is a really nice xfce guide from the latest edition of PCLinusOS Magazine:

Enjoy.

you made these changes yourself when you changed your default font settings ... you will need to revert them ... the font settings that you have set globally have precedence over any theme setting ....

Kori

The problem is that I can't remember what I changed and how.
I'm on my desktop KDE now, and wont be back to Phoenix till monday.
I'll poke around some more, but I don't remember how to change font color in Xfce.
