NDISWRAPPER doesn't want to recognize my driver !!
« on: May 31, 2010, 04:48:05 PM »
I just reinstalled PCLOS 2009.1 & everything seemed fine until I tried
to get wireless working. I have installed this version many times &
have never had this problem before with this driver..

I went into Network Setup>Wireless>ndiswrapper>Install new driver.
I pointed it to the driver that I know works with 2009. The message came
back after a few seconds that said: " Unable to find the ndiswrapper interface !"

I have never had this happen before & am wondering what is going on here.

It can't be that big of  a problem. I have cruised the forums looking for a reference
to ndiswrapper & have found one that sounds close. [ndiswrapper] doesn't like my driver
by melody. I'm going to go thru the input there to see if anything happens.

Thanks for anyone's help !!

2009? We use 2010. Try 2010 and post back.

Use 2010 if you can.  I can only reply from my own experience.  If it's a broadcom ndiswrapper driver you need to blacklist ssb.  Post back.

2009 is no longer supported. All 2009 iso's have been removed from our repository a while back. The 2009 repository has been closed. I don't know why you installed 2009 or where you got it but you should download and install 2010.1 from our download mirrors then we can better help you with your issue. I can tell you that a lot of work went into getting most broadcom drivers working with the 2010 release.

Have a nice day.
