A little history for ya'll who are following this thread,I appreciate all the suggestions, and help, I installed much from synaptic to affect this maneuver.I recorded a snl show when the Shins were the guest.I liked the title "New Slang" for it's melody, not really it's lyrics. The torrents I have heard were older versions without the air harp, and a different tempo that the available torrents do not have.I appreciate all who have stuck with me to educate me , and offer suggestions.I'll try the latest suggestion (konquer) although i am not familiar with it, the browser, a bit,but not the integration konquer has with many linux apps. Thanks for your support.

I checked ffmeg again, saw it could be upgraded, another file was added ,installed ,then tried k9copy, it sounds a lot easier, less things to get wrong, especially using the wizard.Another no go,I got this again :

I'll try the konqueror method now.

In trying using konqueror, I opened the browser, and opened the dvd.iso file,a right click, and didn't get the same window displayed in this thread,a much smaller menu with 4 options.

A look at the konqueror display ;

Please use Synaptic Package Manager and upgrade the complete install.
Partial or selective upgrading is not supported in PCLOS.

regards.

I don't understand the premium access system server directions:

Save the attached file to your home directory
open a terminal konsole
type su and press return/enter key
enter root password and press return/enter key
type cp sources.list /etc/apt
overwrite sources.list? Press Y
type exit
type exit

What is my home directory? any home folder?

I don't see how the code accesses a file in my home folder.

If my problem is outdated apps, they were new a month or so ago when I installed pclos 2010 a week after it was released.

Thx to Texstar for resending the P.A.S.S code, gmail must of put it in the spam folder, I use pop,not imap,so I don't get all my gmail.
