Sound on Acer Aspire 5739

My Acer has a 2.1 surround sound output.

Basically its not working.

Well... It is working but Im getting a normal laptop sound out rather than the bassy sound Im used to with Windows.

 Could you provide some hardware specs please? Soundchip, etc? People would prefer to not have to go hunting for these details themselves, and makes things simpler to diagnose. Cheers. :)

I assume that your Acer uses an Intel sound card, as with most Acer's.  See if this helps:

I think you would just use "acer" as the model name.
