Sound playback randomly drops connection
« on: May 27, 2010, 05:53:21 PM »
I can get sound normally at first, but it stops randomly, at times varying from a few seconds to a couple of minutes. This problem happens with playback of local computer files, especially with Audacity, but also with Totem. The time sound cuts out is variable, even when playing the same file.  (Internet streaming usually works, but sound also sometimes cuts out - e.g with BBC iPlayer and with Flash videos)

I am running PCLinuxOS 2010, Gnome version, fresh installation.

This is the sound card information from the control center:

I don't have much configuration knowledge, so I'd appreciate any help.
