[SOLVED] Old Problem New Install
« on: May 25, 2010, 11:47:21 AM »
Last year I was experiencing a problem using AutoCAD in Virtual Box while tvtime is on top of the Vbox window.  While working on a drawing the cursor would seem to stick or operate haltingly (this behavior goes away if I minimize tvtime).  This was on PCLOS 2009 upgraded to 2010.  I happily found that the problem disappeared when I installed KDE 4.3 to this install.  But now with the new install of PCLOS 2010 using I believe KDE 4.4 the problem has returned.  Did something change from KDE 4.3 to 4.4?  Or did a setting change between the old install of PCLOS and the new on to 2010?

Any help appreciated,
MCP

UPDATE: I think I found the problem.  In thinking that it had to do with KDE 4.4 I tried changing the window decoration.  I went from Oxygen to Keramik and found that now I don't have the problem.  I'm posting this in case anyone else has as similar problem.

OOPS:  Spoke too soon.  Same problem is back.  Don't know why it seemed to be solved.

New Update:  Found the problem. I had desktop effects turned off.  As soon as I turned them on, problem solved.
