< solved >Shortcut to pictures help.

Am I missing something? I know I'm no guru, but this really shouldn't take 2 hours to figure out.

I'm trying to make a shortcut on my desktop to my Pictures folder.

One thing I can do, is copy the folder to the desktop, and now I have 2 sets of pictures, 2Gigs each.

The other way is to "Move" the folder, but then this takes it out of my home folder and puts it on my desktop, so if it is accidentally  deleted it's all gone. ( actually I have an external backup, but that's not the point)

One other way is to create a Pictures folder on my desktop, but then now I have 2 different pictures folder.
I just need a link really...

I worked very hard today cleaning up the yard, so I think I deserve some joy.

I would have put a bunch of these after that line;   , but you might have thought I was laughing at you, or just kidding. (Choosing the former would have been the right answer)

I have a pretty good sense of humor about everything, and I know my limitations. I dont mind someone giving me a jab here and there, as I crack myself up at times too.
Pretty good way of going through life, I think.

I've always been my own best source for humor. If one can't laugh at oneself, one has no right to laugh at any other. Our happy group of loony tunes, here present, are constantly on the alert, and don't miss a chance to take a jab at whoever leaves themselves wide open, at any given moment.
