Install xfe (X File Manager). When you have a file you want to send to the trash, open xfe > open the Directory that the file is in (Videos, Desktop or whichever), right-click the file and select "Move to Trash."
To restore items you've sent to the trash, in xfe, click (on the toolbar) Trash > Go to trash > right-click the file and choose Move to... > in the input field, type the name of the folder you want to move it to > click to move it.
To delete files in trash, in xfe, click Trash > Empty trash can.
