[SOLVED] LXDE MP3 Mobile device manager recommendation
« on: May 19, 2010, 07:07:24 AM »
I am looking an application to handle the .mp3 files on my Phillips Go Gear MP3 Player.  At the present time I am using MC to copy files to it.

I am trying to find a "lightweight" application to keep in the LXDE tradition.

I have tried aTunes, but it gets a bit flakey at times. I don't want anything that depends on mono.

Any ideas?

Not sure how your MP3 player handles things, I have a Sansa Clip and all I do is copy the directories that contain the mp3 files from my PC to the clip. Basicly drag & drop or copy & paste. The songs are organized into the directories by Artist/Album.

So in a nutshell I just mount and treat it as a thumb drive.

That is exactly what i am doing now. I use the file manager MC to handle the moving.

I was hoping to find something like Amarok but much more lightweight.

Copy and paste with PCManFM should work well.

I guess I will stick with a file manager to copy files to my MP3 player. And Audacious to play them on my PC.

Thanks
