Belkin F5D7010 7000
« on: May 17, 2010, 05:38:00 AM »
I have installed 2010 on an old laptop with a pcmia card as above. The card picks up the router but at only between 15 & 20% signal strength. I think that it is using the wrong driver but do not know how to find out which driver it has picked up. Can anyone help please.
The card works fine on Windows.

Edit:

I have found on pcc that the module is RTL 8180  which I believe is incorrect and if RTL should be 8185. Is there any way to proof this?

To find out what chip your card has, open a terminal window and type lspci

Scroll down and you should see the wireless card and please post the output.
