Can Gnome be installed to try?

Hi, I am currently running Pclinuxos KDE2010 and I would like to know if you can install Gnome from the repositories for use or do you have to do a completely new install with the Gnome version of Pclinuxos. I know I can run the live Cd but would rather have it installed for daily usage to see if I enjoy it. Thanks for any Help.

you can install gnome packages from the repository.  you may need to reboot, otherwise restart x and choose your destop manager from the login page.

I was at first confused. I had pclinuxos 2010 ked4 installed and added gnome.
To install Gnome from the repository look for "task-gnome"  That did a complete gnome install for me.
Works fine.

It does.  It did that to check out PCLinuxOS Gnome.  Once done and being satisfied, I still installed the Gnome iso afterwards to have a clean Gnome install. 

If you have /home on a different partition this is done in a couple of minutes.
