<SOLVED> Hard disks visible in Dolphin
« on: May 16, 2010, 03:19:46 PM »
In Dolphin when clicking on the Home icon (top left) I get details of the disks on the computer except hda/sda where KDE4 is residing. KwikDisk is no help as it tells me the program has a bug. Any help please? Will submit the bug report if no one suggest an answer. Thanks.

Thanks old-polack. There is nothing wrong with the presentation it was my interpretation of what I was looking at. I agree, KwikDisk is like having two big toes on one foot - one of them absolutely useless. Thanks again.

As it works here, showing all the partitions on all the hard drives, (38, in my case) it would appear not to be a bug in the software, but rather a local problem specific to your machine.

As for KwikDisk, the only useful feature of it is launching KDiskFree, which can be launched directly from the main menu. Either one of those only show the partitions listed in /etc/fstab.

Of what use be there for joy, if not for the sharing thereof?
