SOLVED Remaster After 2010.1 Install
« on: May 16, 2010, 10:39:50 AM »
I have completed my install of 2010.1 to a point that I want to do a remaster.  There is a script called /usr/bin/mylivecd that seems to replace the "mklivecd" from 2009.2.  However, when I try to execute the script, I get a message about "/usr/sbin/draklive-install is not available" and to install the package.  I tried updating Synaptic and updated all "drak" related, but that did not help.

Did something mess up during the install?  How can I get draklive-install?

Thanks.

Yup - draklive-install can be installed using Synaptic (which you've done ?)

Try

open terminal
su to root
umount -a
mylivecd Live-2010kde.iso

Should give you a remaster named Live-2010kde

Thanks for the reply.  I still get the same message about draklive-install.

I did update Synaptic with all drak related entries.  Is draklive-install connected with some other entry in Synaptic?

Errm!

What command are you using in your terminal?

Since your updates, have you rebooted? Maybe some of your updates need a reboot to take place.

You could always try (if you haven't already done so) re-installing draklive-install.

You could also create a new user account and try it in there. If it works in there it may point to something being messed up in your account.

Is this a clean install of 2010? Have you re-used any of your old /home partition IF you had one that is  ;D

I changed to a different repository from the Synaptic default and I found draklive-install.  Everything is fine now.

My apologies for not trying another repository before posting.

Thanks.
