PC icon looks ugly when clicked (in the left bottom)
« on: May 12, 2010, 11:05:19 AM »
Im new to PCLinuxOS and loving it so far. I want to suggest to modify the PC icon when clicked, because it looks ugly. Does this happen to anyone else?

Keep up the good work :D

Seeing how the button distorts for less than 1/10 of a second when you click it, I can't see the big deal. Personally, I like the PC button just the way it is.

If you use the Kickoff menu style, the icon will shrink with a very tiny amount for a fraction of a second when you click it.

If you use the default classic menu style, it will remain a wee bit smaller for as long as the menu is open. Is it then distorted? If I look at it through a magnifying glass: yes. Not so much that I'd normally notice it, but yes.

Well spotted asdfchanta. And congratulations on your eyesight.

It's just a suggestion, there are many things that require much important attention. Im kind of picky.

Keep up the good work.

Doesn't happen on my system - first time I've heard of that  ;)

Can I ask what system you are using?

You can change it by right clicking the icon and select "Menu Editor" and select the Icon (top right corner) and take your pick from selection fields.

But in saying that, there is nothing to say the one you choose won't also look "ugly".

Also by right clicking the icon you can switch to the "Kickoff Menu Style" which may suit you better. (Do reverse to switch back to Classic Menu)
