I copy pasted the error message in Google, at some point it says that it will do that if you use another blogging software for your site. OK, i use Live Writer but with Windows. I removed it and i'm back to Linux, tried Bilbo again, different error message which is: Received invalid XML markup: error occurred while parsing comment at 2:47

Tried it again: Received invalid XML markup: unexpected character at 1:50

I really would that program to work, i have to go back to Windows to use my blogging software that i now have to reinstall.

It's a little bit frustrating but hey, i'll keep trying and trying and trying.... ;D

Did you attempt to figure out what the invalid unexpected character was?

I don't have any clues about it but is it possible that is because i use some of the character on top of the numbers on the keyboard like ? & * ( ) in my password?

I'm going to change my password and see if the problem is solved, be back later to post the result :)

I can read form my searches in Google that it's not good to run software from root and that's what i'm using. I don't have any other account so i'm using root as my main one....is it good or bad :(

It's the worst thing you can do. Why do you not have a normal user account? You were given a chance to create one immediately after assigning your root password.

My mistake, i removed it thinking that i don't need 2 account like root and another one. If it's the problem i'll format my drive and reinstall everything including XP and Windows 7 with PCLinux and create and keep a second account.

What happen if i create another account right now, can i import the root configuration or do i have to start new with it and configure everything ?

Well because i'm right in the trials and errors stage with this pclinux, i created another account and tried Bilbo, same error message. There is definitely something wrong somewhere and i really don't know what it is.

If you've been running as root for any length of time longer than a few minutes, there's no telling what damage you have already caused to the system. Adding a user now is kind of pointless. Best to reinstall the Linux system and create a proper normal user on a fresh, known to be undamaged, system.

There's no reason to reinstall Windows unless you've stored a lot of files from your Linux installation in the Windows partitions. I really don't know what bad effects that might have, if any, as I don't run Windows.

Yes i stored files on the Windows partition but only open office files, some pictures, stuff for my blog so i can probably format only the Linux partitions and reinstall pclinux.....that will be my project today.

Seeya later after everything is back in order  ;D

Done, i did reinstall everything from XP to Windows 7 and PCLinux OS 2010. This time i won't delete the user account to use root i'll use my account.

I'll configure everything, do the updates and try to install Bilbo again and see if i can make it work this time.

Not working  :'(

I have this in Live Writer configuration (Windows registry): https://www.canalblog.com/cf/fe/api/index.cfm

I have tried http, https in Bilbo with my username ordidoc and my password ********* (metaweblog)and received error messages:

Unknown type of XML markup received
Server(XMLRPC) Error: Unknown type of XML markup received
Received invalid XML markup: unexpected character at 1:50

What is the next step to try to solve this? ;D
