This relates to my previous questions about failure of Irfanview after Wine up grade. As a test I was trying to install a Mandrivia RPM for Wine 1.01. I get the feedback:

        rpmlib(PayloadIsLzma) <= 4.4.6-1 is needed by wine-1.0.1-1mdv2009.0.i586
but when I check Synaptic that seems to be the version installed (librpm). My second question is would changing or installing without removing the existing one interfere with future rpm installs from Synaptic.

IrfanView Version 4.20 works with wine-1.1.43  ::)

maybe the IrfanView Version don't work with wine???

Mandriva RPM can not used with PCLinuxOS...

Was able to resolve my problem with an older version of Irfanview. Thanks for the replies.
