<SOLVED> Knotify Is Using GTK Popups for Applications?
« on: May 09, 2010, 12:21:29 AM »
On my previous 2009/KDE 4.3 system Knotify would use native KDE notifications (e.g. the same style as the file move dialogs). Now 2010/KDE 4.4 seems to be using pop-ups generally associated with GTK applications. Is there a reason for this, and a way to change back to the native KDE versions?

I'll attach screenshots, since it's hard to explain what I'm talking about.

I had the same issue. Try right clicking in the system tray -> System Tray Settings -> Pop Up Notices -> tick application notifications

FWIW, I tried this fix with no success. However, soon after this happened the entire system fell apart and I had to reinstall. The problem isn't present on the new install. I'm not sure what was wrong, but the screwy install was having a lot of KDE issues; perhaps this was simply another.

Either way, since it worked for GoustiFruit I'll mark the topic "Solved".
