Hello everyone

I installed the KDE4-mini, did the update through the night, rebooted when I woke up this morning and am left with "Warning: couldn't find charset data for locale C; using ISO 8859-1" at a prompt.

Do I need to create the softlinks as indicated in this thread ?: https://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=24323
Code: [Select]
On Mandriva 2007 x86_64, I added two symlinks

/usr/lib64/X11/locale -> /usr/share/X11/locale
/usr/X11R6/bin/luit -> /usr/bin/luit

and now xterm works fine with non-UTF8 encodings.
This is xterm-215-4mdv2007.0 and luit-1.0.1-3mdv2007.0, by the way.

Help or advice please.

EDIT:

I have solved this problem, I do not know how exactly.
1. I installed KDE4 mini
2. Installed task-LXDE
3. Did the update
4. Set locality and language settings only after update
5. Rebooted and everything is how it should be.
