If I do a reboot of PCLinuxOS 2010.1 KDE the wifi connection is not automatically reestablished without manually going into the network center and connecting if the router SSID is not turned on.  The connection parameters (SSID, mode and password) are there in network center but the automatic reconnection is not performed.

If the SSID is on (broadcast) the connection is reestablished without any manual intervention required.  I'm using WPA2 Personal security in my Linksys router.

The earlier 2009.2 KDE3.5 version of PCLinuxOS did not have this problem.

This problem has strangely gone away so it can be marked as SOLVED.  Perhaps the latest software updates today cured the problem.
