yes there is dhcp on the 300n but it only give addresses to wireless clients. right now i have dhcp server setup on the 1650 it serves addresses to anything on eth1. so the 3 desktop & the 300n obtain their addresses from the 1650
So that is the nub of the problem.
You need to set up a DHCP server on PCLOS to serve that LAN segment?
PCLOS does not come standard with the packages installed to be used as a server OS, so the necessary packages will need to be installed using Synaptic.
The best option that I am aware of is to launch drakwizard
and from that choose what you want to be installed and it should arrange things for you.EDIT
I should have asked ...... why not set up the 300N to issue IP addresses on the LAN?
