I had a minor issue trying to install to this laptop, the LiveCD normal mode would not boot to the desktop and startx gave the error screens found but none suitable. The vesa boot did the trick, but I was concerned that if I installed to the HD the problem would return. Just wanted to let anybody who buys this model know that this was not an issue and the video card is properly configured upon HD install. The sound on my system was low, you will have to go to the settings in the mixer and run "configure channels" then drag the speaker channel and the Mic channel over to turn the sound up to acceptable levels. the Headphone sensor is not functioning properly, you have to mute the speakers manually, if I find a fix I will post it here.
