XMMS http/1.1 400 error
« on: May 02, 2010, 01:40:02 PM »
Two days ago my XMMS player stopped playing streams such as shout cast and other mp3 streams. It just locks up with error saying http/1-1 400 bad request whatever that is. Secondly running from a terminal I now get the following output:

Code: [Select]
Gtk-WARNING **: Failed to load module "libcanberra-gtk-module.so": libcanberra-gtk-module.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
/usr/lib/libprojectM.so.2: undefined symbol: glXGetProcAddress
Initializing xmms-MAC Plugin

None of the above happened before. I can still play all media formats from my HD such as mp3, wav, ogg, flac avi, mpeg etc no problem at all. The only thing I can think of is having to install a new graphics card a few days back but it was essentially the same as the old one so that shouldn't have had any effect.

I also installed the dvb-usb-af9015 package which pulled down some updated dependancies but I'm darned if I can remember what they were  :-[

VLC and Amarok play the streams fine but XMMS is and always has been my default prefered app.

Running Minime 2009 KDE3. Not updated for a while, if it aint broke why fix it. And yes I did use the KDE3 repo.

Now that the 2010 versions of PCLinuxOS are out the 2009 KDE3 is no longer supported thus the repos haven't been updated for a long time.

There is a frozen repo which can be used for "new" 2009 installs
