nVidia 96xx
« on: May 01, 2010, 10:35:44 AM »
Whenever I install the nVidia 96xx drivers from Synaptic, my X crashes on reboot, so after reboot I cannot use the pc anymore. Any suggestion???

Dell Vostro 1720
nVidia 9600
XFCE

ehm,... me not smart, but ... i though if model starts with 96 (9600) and driver is 96xx, then that should be the driver, but again, me maybe not smart ;-)
Hoevere, I have also tryed to install ALL drivers of nVidia, but still getting the same problem.
As I remember moinths ago when I tryed with the KDE version of PCLOS, I didnṫ had problems.

do you get to a command prompt? if so, type XFdrake , and set things from there...
