PCLOS2010 on a Toshiba NB100
« on: April 28, 2010, 08:08:10 AM »
Anyone thingking about installing PCLOS2010 on his Toshiba NB100 netbook? Stop thinking and do it! It is running wonderfully. I did not test bluetooth so far (I do not use it normally anyway), but all other hardware was recognized all right, including wireless. I am very happy with this distro. Thanks to Texstar and the team!

Amazing. I finally took the time to put PCLOS-LXDE on my little NB100-11R, yesterday. To do this, I had to make an iso of my updated desktop-system which is in charge for several months.
To make it short, everything worked as it should, Texstar's script produced a 1.8GB image and with PCLinuxOS Live USB Creator I shoved it to my usb stick. Installation was a breeze and I was amazed to log in and have the desktop in front of me, I am accustomed to. Only adjustment was to install the bfs kernel, which gave this little machine noticable extra speed.
Thanks a lot to the PCLinuxOS crew!

Forgot to mention: Hardware is supported by 95%. The only thing not working is the volume keys (for this I installed gmix afterwards).
